The ugliest body part
Post image
I think ears are the ugliest part of the body. They are simultaneously our most animalistic and also our most alien-looking bodypart. From the front they bend out like bird's wings; from the side the curl up like a conjured fungus. And from the back! Have you ever actually looked at an ear from the back? It's a protuding tube, with an upturned umbrella attached onto it. Everyone looks uglier when you take into account their ears, but we subconsciously block them out when we look at faces. This is attested by the fact that beginner artists misdraw or even omit them altogether often and no one complains; women with their constant obsession over fixing and tweaking their appearance rarely focus on their ears as much as they do their eyes, nose, lips, and so on. Ear tyranny spares no ethnicity either. The busy bigots of our day have correctly identified those drooping, protruding, pointy ears as a symbol of lower intelligence. But the most intelligent and accomplished people among us also have these ugly ass cartilage flaps too. And they get larger as we age, yet another curse of mortality bestowed upon the human race.

I find noses more disgusting. It really is an anomaly in the middle of the face.
Tbf, the whole thing looks wrong if you think about it for too long (see the "They're Made out of Meat" very short story).

I strongly dislike when nostrils are flared. Their hole should be kept hidden.

cute little parabolic antennae
if they're ugly why do people hang jewellery from them

Because cartilage is soft, and the area is not used for anything else so therefore less prone to irritation or infection than other cartilaginous areas (which also get jewelled and pierced anyway).

What do you propose as an alternative? No ears looks stranger than ears in and of themselves. All body parts look ugly when considered on their own aesthetics. It is only when they are considered as a whole, as part of a whole body, does one come to appreciate their beauty.

You asked if gold "can" be used as money, in a reply to my post about historical calculations of profit. I answered yes, because anything can be used as money if both parties agree to it; gold, silver, shells, animal pelts, and so on. Gold can still be bought and sold and traded for fiat currency. Those two combined completely fulfill your question of if gold "can be used" as money. Of course, your plank of wood American brain chose to interpret that as "can I buy my Monster energy drink with gold coins tomorrow" to which the answer is obviously no.

Like a typical American, you also think simply naming a different nationality out loud is an insult, like your admired hero's quip "umm you're Chinese". No I'm not British, and have only been to the UK once in my life for a few days (it was a pleasant trip). You are correct though that my pedantic, autistic style of argumentation mark me as non-American and my English writing is decidedly continental. I can only count it as a small blessing that Yanks online do not immediately see me as one of their own.

I would call you a retarded zoomer too but your nagging style of trolling is much more 4chan millennial. I suggest you find a different hobby instead of biting my ankles on this board.

>All body parts look ugly when considered on their own aesthetics.
I would personally amend this: no body part is noteworthy, unless somehow unusual (disfigured, etc), or disproportionate when considered with the whole. for instance, i don't think anyone generally cares about ears (except maybe op), except for when someone has large ears, and then that becomes a notable trait. or a large nose.

I do not use the word "can" here. You are once again destroyed by logic by the Arch-Mentaculum (me). Your almost-verbose "bloody knobhead" prose provides little compensation. I'd advise you purchase a "Kindle" on Amazon and start with the Greeks

Maybe OP sees the ear in general like how grotesque caricature artists view people's distinguishing features in particular (e.g. meatcanyon on youtube).

OP's visceral disgust for ears makes me wonder about their aesthetic potential for horror. Where are the horror film monsters covered with ears?
