rsp vs 4tran4
Post image
why can't these two communities get along they're honestly more alike than they are natural enemies. at least the vibe I get from a lot of 4tran4 users make me think they'd have a natural overlap with the sub now, let alone the sub 6 years ago

or maybe it's just me thinking that because those are two of the only places I find funny online anymore o algo idktbqhfamalamtalmboutdesu

Okay, but why do men troon out when their wives are postpartum? Are they jealous of the attention? Do they get into sissy hypnosis porn because they can’t have sex with their wife?

There's some history here.

r/redscarepod has steadily become more closed-minded, one-note; in a word, chuddish. In the past the stance towards trannies was more "if the shoe fits", that is, if transwomen had a good vibe about them, if they were genuinely interested in *being* women, acting feminine, if they exuded at least some shred of natural femininity. This is something of an old memory of previous generations where transwomen were met in artistic settings like theater and the performing arts. The newer generations don't have that, everything they know from trannies is either something they read about online from the echo chamber, or their own experience with the new generation of Discord speedrunner hons who have seemingly no connection to the concept of "female" at all -- like their biofemale counterparts, the gender they're transitioning away from is used as a negative template instead of a positive one ("I don't like being a man" as opposed to "I want to be a woman"). This change includes A&D themselves too. I don't remember the name but there was a trans guest on a couple of years ago, of course this was when the podcast was still focused on art and fashion and gossip so the guest was free to discuss those things with A&D and there was none of that suffocating political atmosphere with ~implications~.

In that sense, from what I have seen on my occasional forays into 4tran4, not being part of the trans community but still keeping tabs, is that they also have moved away from their origins as /tttt/ with the heavy self-awareness that came with that small subculture, the necessary sense of humor and resilience and perspective it gave them, and the always-sharp irony that comes with being a channer from that generation. They, too, became one-note, much more sensitive, though I can't fault them for the latter, seeing as they are increasingly the target of political slander from "the real world", and their identities used as political fodder for people who previously had neither interest nor familiarity with the subject.

So in short, yes, there *should* be an overlap, because there actually was at one point, but it is no more. Perhaps in the future, the stars will cross and people like you and I will reconvene in a place that draws in nuanced, worldly people. It's not going to be here that's for sure (with all due respect to Admin)

Some men take part in transvestism as a form of stress reduction; it's plausible, although only a hypothesis, that the stress of the child's being born worsens feelings of dysphoria which hastens the 'coming out' process (which is just the first outward manifestation of long-running feelings of pain and confusion). Attempting to understand this phenomenon is by no means my endorsing it.

I liked this post.
>In the past the stance towards trannies was more "if the shoe fits", that is, if transwomen had a good vibe about them, if they were genuinely interested in *being* women, acting feminine, if they exuded at least some shred of natural femininity.
The main factor in whether a transsexual is taken as 'naturally feminine' and as—at least in some sense—a 'real woman' (which is the utmost desire for most male-to-female transsexuals) is how she looks. Does she 'convince' the onlooker as a woman? Behaviour is second fiddle to face, frame and voice.
(Nobody in woke circles or anti-woke circles wants to admit this, because it involves the idea that the sexes should look and act in a particular way, such that a woman *is* this and a man *is* that; it undermines at once both the woke and anti-woke theses about transsexualism.)
>negative template instead of a positive one
Probably, these Discord/speedrunner/compsci types put others off due to autism, more than anything else.
>"I don't like being a man" as opposed to "I want to be a woman"
Autoandrophobia
>I don't remember the name but there was a trans guest on a couple of years ago
Pariah the Doll who was on 'The Doll Curve'. Miles 'detransitioned', identifies as a 'eunuch', but still looks like woman and it doesn't seem to bother him; I have no doubt he takes hormones. The goal is to make out he is so incorrigibly feminine that it makes him seem much more naturally a woman than any brick-bodied out-and-out transsexual. This is the 'boymoding' phenomenon. To understand Miles' experience and why he behaves as he does is to understand the various neuroses besetting modern day trans women.
I am using 'he' only with difficulty, because I am a pronoun-respector, as the act Pariah plays is really very good.
>that they also have moved away from their origins as /tttt/
The board is close to dead now, so r/4tran4 is parasitic of Twitter instead, which is a far less nutritious host.

AGPs have given the real trans people a bad rep. before this becomes honey for pedantic flies when I say real trans people I mean those who are not sexual deviants like agps.
no one has a problem with hunter schafer

Hunter Schafer is an AGP, because she does not have an exclusive attraction to males (which would make her, under Blanchard's two-type typology, HSTS [homosexual transsexual]). Schafer identified as a lesbian, and later on as bi. She dated Rosalía (pictured).
AGP was not meant to be another word for pervert or anti-social personality type; this is how radical feminists and some conservatives have misused it.

Schafer is pretty and has been a model, but she is pretty only in a particular way; while well-liked on /r/4tran4, I doubt she has mass appeal. In fact, I think a lot of trans girls look up to her precisely because she has a few 'male-coded' personality traits: she likes anime, video games and katanas, and so is more relatable. She also criticised non-binary and was semi-cancelled for that (although she's shy about the fact she's not a 'classic transsexual' herself).

>the Buck Angel species of transmen is nearly extinct
You mean the Buck Angel species I think to mean a FTM who looks ultra-masculine. But Mr Angel is a bad example of an FTM, because he's an extreme masochist and obviously BPD (typically the FTMs have more cluster-A type personality disorders like schizotypal or schizoid). Also, there's a weird connection between Angel and the Wachowskis, in that his ex (who is a dominatrix) became the wife of one of the then-brothers. All hushed up.

rsp has been purged of all chud elements beyond the watered-down safe-edgy dirtbag left allotments. The average rsp commenter has normie reddit opinions on everything. Writing like Sam Kriss and throwing in the occasional D-class slur is a form of ego protection to differentiate oneself from their adherence to instagram-reel-qua-ideology. The story of rsp from 2021 to now is Paglia->Dworkin

I think the rise of /r/4tran4 and the /ttttt/-sphere is an interesting topic. I am trying to keep the conversation going by posting >>13326. Personally, I've also noticed that trans women are often very computer-smart.

It's a chicken and egg scenario. Were they drawn to computers because they didn't fit in at all with others, or did they not fit in with others because of the internet?

I do agree with 4tran4's rise being interesting, however. Looksmaxxing terms seem to be in plenty there, so at least they finally understand we live in a shallow society.
No.13343 Anonymous>>13347
>>13341
both ( >drawn to computers because they didn't fit in at all with others and >did they not fit in with others because of the internet )are true. i knew a computer smart trans person since they were a child and they seemed to be pretty popular in school and yet felt like they didn't fit in. but now they have almost no friends because they have nothing in common with the people they used to be friends with and they only care about their hyperspecific tech interests (not passing judgement, just saying what i see)

I recently learned that Elon Musk's brother's eldest son has also transitioned to become a woman. Transsexualism is probably at least somewhat heritable. I've heard too many cases of this happening for it to be just a coincidence. youtu.be/gagYfbwVXFU?t=5853
>>13341
Is it a good thing if the 4tran4 vibes (incl. looksmaxing) diffuse out into the broader trans community though?
I guess, wanting to pass and refusing "hugboxing" probably makes them more assimilable into wider society (despite it being derived from 4chan, which is ironic

The person you knew, sounds like schizoid personality--often schizoids could have friends but have little interest in other people. I think intelligent people can build a little model in their brain of ordinary social behaviour in order to emulate being normal to others, but it leads to feelings of inauthenticity.

I'd say it's more beneficial to them as it would greatly help with how they're treated at large.

I get it. I wish I could be a "real woman" too. I have always envied them. Maybe envy isn't the right word. I drag through life the overwhelming heaviness of failure. Of being one of them only by default, by a technicality. So what, all the hullabaloo over two Xes. I've never been part of a sisterhood, I've never danced carefree, delighted in outfitting, giggled over coffee and gossip, delight in the shared language... never not looked in the mirror - always as quickly as necessary and not one beat longer - and seen anything else but a jaded, haggard bridge troll. A hundred thousand trannies, transvestites and drag queens are more woman than I. I could never be a TERF, have never even bothered with their parading, the online cloistering and longhousing. Let the troons have womanhood, I don't give a shit, it's not mine to gatekeep, it's not sacred to me. The reactionaries have already caught wind of this anyway and have cast down us few unfortunates as less-than. Despite all our modern rationality we still treat ugliness as a sin, something applied from above, half-belonging to the spiritual-- and those who wear it as deserving of their fate. I will always be an awkward lump of "other" until I'm dead in the ground, then at least my skeletal structure will show some mark of what I was supposed to engender. Pun intended.

There was a poster on 4tran4 who wrote a rather good essay that she shared on Google Docs. I read it and was moved, thought about reaching out and, I don't know? Congratulating her for being a neurotic shitposter like me? It felt weird and voyeuristic, so I never did it. But I think about her from time to time. Hope she is doing well in life and her transition and whatever.

bleak but good post. being a woman seems harder than being a man, in a way. even if you're ugly, a fuck up, an autist, whatever, those are all recognisable types of men. you might not be a cool handsome man but no one doubts that you're a man. unless you're a bit of a fairy in which case you're fucked obviously.

I have never liked the "who has it harder" question in any context as it only leads to bitterness and resentment-- or intersectional social justice. We all have our crosses to bear. Certainly an actually transitioning person has it "harder" than a cis female, however lamentable she may be; that's an easy charitable point from my side. I also think it's much easier to "fail" out of being a man, that the threshold so to say is comparatively lower, and my position requires being a much more extreme outlier. Good thing /pt/ is another sausagefest forum or else I'd be catching NLOG volleys...
