I miss being a Frog Twitter regard so much

first year of college I used to wake up at around 5am to study but it would go over my head because I was sleepy (duh) and I'd end up watching free college lectures about ancient Greece and rome to not feel like I woke up early for nothing. I kept this up for an entire semester. can't remember one thing from those lectures but the picture in your post reminded me of that time in my life.

I used to do the same thing, though I was usually watching the lectures at night.

Same for me w/ Sugrue at 1AM. For some reason the late night is conducive to decades-old college lectures.

Cool to see another Sugrue fan. I found him years after losing interest in Frog Twitter though. Which series of his was your favorite?

I got into it from his lectures on Auguste Comte and positivism. I've seen a few of his lectures on Kant as well. Jeffrey Kaplan is also good; especially his videos on law/jurisprudence.

What made you quit? There are a number of reasons I would imagine would cause you to, but I want an authentic perspective.

It got boring for me by 2021 because of the infighting and then I found out half of them were gay and / or Jewish and even though a lot of them were obviously well-educated it became obvious it was a Zionist operation. I am still a hardline antisemite but I became effectively anti-racist during the interim period due to not wanting a child I met to have to question himself for being mixed.

I remember the funny reactions from frog twitter types when BAP was outed as Jewish and a member of some Zionist group in college.

I had seen accusations and ignored them for years because he posted about Nazism so much that I assumed it couldn’t be true, then I went back and listened to a couple of the earliest episodes of Caribbean Rhythms and he was praising Epstein and I couldn’t believe I’d been stupid enough to fall for it.

The recklessness of youth. I think it is a necessary step, but one must move beyond it.
