I love this movie

Recently saw The Straight Story for the first time ever and I now see this as Lynch's best.
Grew up in and have plenty of family in the midwest but later moved to the coast and now I'm homesick.
I've been listening to its theme called Laurens Walking every now and then and reminiscing.
When I get the chance to travel back and see my grandparents again I'll make sure to watch this with them. I feel that they'd enjoy it.

>>12776 well I suppose so
Now I have seen most of his feature films outside of Inland Empire and Dune (when I find that fan-cut again I may see it) but there's so much humanity in this. Or at least humanity without something terribly sinister happening underneath. I feel that Lynch is at his best when depicting such a thing like Major Briggs talking to Bobby about his dream. The Straight Story was full of moments like that and I think that's one of the main reasons I really enjoy it.

Now I do very much appreciate how well Lynch depicted that dream-like feeling and that unease of a nightmare of course
